Fattoria di Basciano is a truly historic property situated in the heart of the Chianti Rufina area. Its main structure was once an ancient guard tower and dates back to the 13th century. We have recently restored the historic site for our “agriturismo” program. This beautiful property overlooks the rolling tuscan countryside and is surrounded by vineyards, olive groves and cypress trees.
Our guests can enjoy the breathtaking view from anywhere on the ground or while swimming in a newly built pool designed to enhance the surrounding landscape.
The Tuscan Countryside a stone’s throw from Florence
The city of florence is located only 25 km away, and can be quickly reached by car or by train. There are also wonderful excursions to enjoy by foot, mountain bike or riding.
Other important cities of art such as Siena, Arezzo, Pistoia can be reached in about an hour and a half, thus offering the possibility of visiting the main sites of Tuscan artistic interest even in just a week’s stay!
Rufina is the nearest town and offers basic services (supermarket, pharmacy, various kinds of shops).
A wider and more complete choice of stores is located in Pontassieve, 7 km by car from Basciano.
A few prestigeous outlets like The Mall and McArthurglen are less than one-hour- drive away.
